MDT, a CUSO assisting credit unions with financial technology, has announced a partnership with InvestiFi, a digital investing provider. This collaboration enables MDT’s credit union network to offer members direct access to stock, ETF, and cryptocurrency trading from their checking accounts, aiming to enhance member relationships and drive growth.
InvestiFi’s platform streamlines the investment process by eliminating the need to transfer funds to external parties, allowing financial institutions to retain assets and attract new account holders. Through its unique funds flow and user-friendly interface, MDT’s credit union clients can seamlessly integrate investing tools into their existing online banking experiences.
Pete Major, VP of Fintech Solutions at MDT, stated that the partnership equips their credit union community with next-generation tools to expand, compete, and deliver increased value to their members. He added that this collaboration exemplifies MDT’s commitment to helping credit unions navigate the increasingly complex fintech landscape.
Kian Sarreshteh, CEO and Founder at InvestiFi, noted MDT’s track record of connecting credit unions with innovative solutions. He highlighted that InvestiFi’s “Investing from Checking” solution allows MDT’s network to access new non-interest income streams, accelerate deposit growth, and elevate digital engagement.
Major reiterated the importance of InvestiFi in supporting community institutions in the current competitive environment for deposits and digital presence. MDT supports over 100 credit unions with cloud-based solutions, expert consulting, and digital transformation strategies, in addition to hosting the Symitar core processing system from Jack Henry. InvestiFi’s mission is to democratize investing by making wealth-building opportunities accessible through community financial institutions.
