The Real Brokerage Inc. (NASDAQ: REAX), a real estate technology platform, announced today that Landmark Group, a brokerage serving the Washington, D.
C. metropolitan area, has joined the company, bringing over 250 agents.
Led by Bernadette Cole, Landmark Group’s team of more than 250 agents operates across the District of Columbia, Maryland, and Virginia region. The integration of Landmark Group is expected to strengthen Real’s footprint in the DMV area.
Founded 17 years ago by Bernadette Cole, Landmark Group has been recognized for its performance, appearing on RealTrends’ Verified list of top brokerages for six consecutive years. Most recently, it was identified as the top-producing brokerage in the Mid-Atlantic under its previous affiliation. The leadership team, including Randy Barrows, Isabel Barrows, Alex Cole, and Gina Cole, collectively brings nearly 30 years of military service, leading to Landmark’s inclusion in Real’s Military Division.

Bernadette Cole indicated that her decision to join Real stemmed from a search for a brokerage offering a revenue share model. She stated, “I was looking for a brokerage that offers agents a revenue share model and of all the brokerages with a revenue share model, Real stood out. Real puts the agent first. My team now benefits from revenue share, better commission splits and a higher earnings ceiling. Even more importantly, Real shares our culture of making lives better, creating a legacy and giving back.” She also noted that the move allows her to focus on coaching, mentoring, and training agents, while Real manages operational and back-office functions.
Landmark Group is actively involved in community initiatives, including partnerships with organizations like Judy House and Lifestyles of Maryland to provide holiday support to families. Under Ms. Cole’s leadership, the brokerage has also provided shelter to homeless individuals during extreme weather. Ms. Cole serves as a board member for El Pozo de Vida, an anti-trafficking nonprofit operating in the U.
S. and Mexico, and encourages her agents to engage in charitable activities, which have included coat and book drives, and holiday celebrations for the homeless. Her contributions have been acknowledged through awards such as Broker of the Year, Superior Brokerage, and Southern Maryland Women to Watch. She was also named to Envest’s 40 Under 40, and under her guidance, Landmark agents have received the Southern Maryland Association of Realtors’ “Rookie of the Year” award nine times.
