Krisp, a provider of real-time voice AI technology, has introduced “Accent Conversion for Africa” to enhance communication clarity in the customer experience (CX) sector, particularly for African English accents.

The new solution supports African English accents, including South African, Ugandan, Kenyan, and Nigerian. This launch builds on the earlier success of Krisp Accent Conversion 3.7, which supports Indian, Pakistani, Filipino, and Latin American English accents. Krisp’s AI solution currently powers CX operations at tier-1 banks, insurers, and Business Process Outsourcing (BPO) firms globally, aiming to set a standard for speech clarity and naturalness. The company states that Accent Conversion for Africa facilitates near-native comprehension between contact center agents and consumers, outperforming both competing technologies and unprocessed voice in evaluations.

Davit Baghdasaryan, Co-Founder and CEO of Krisp, emphasized the importance of clear communication in customer interactions. He stated, “Even in the age of AI, human agents are at the front lines of every meaningful customer interaction and they deserve to be clearly understood. As the CX industry evolves to become more AI-driven, one thing remains constant: human connection drives loyalty and trust. With Krisp, clarity becomes universal, not cultural, by removing accent bias and empowering every voice to connect globally.”

The company highlighted several benefits of Krisp Accent Conversion for Africa, including proven performance with over 250,000 enterprise seats deployed and more than 80 billion minutes processed monthly in real-time conversations. Customers utilizing Krisp have reported a +99% Net Promoter Score (NPS) from their end-customers. The technology aims to eliminate accent bias, bridge clarity gaps across diverse African English accents, and expand access to CX jobs for agents who might otherwise be excluded, fostering confidence and authenticity by preserving agents’ authentic voices. Additionally, it is designed to reduce costs by removing the need for expensive accent neutralization training, enabling operators to hire more broadly and enhance global competitiveness against leading outsourcing hubs.

Sudhir Agarwal, Founder & CEO of Everise, commented on the integration of Krisp’s platform. He noted, “By integrating Krisp’s AI platform, including Accent Conversion and noise cancellation, we’re amplifying the human touch at every interaction. Krisp’s technology has consistently outperformed in head-to-head evaluations across clarity, naturalness, and accent accuracy.”

Krisp, founded in 2017, focuses on enhancing the productivity of voice interactions by eliminating bias and language barriers. The company’s Voice AI technology includes audio cleansing, noise cancellation, accent conversion, live speech-to-speech translation, and agent assist. Krisp’s applications are privacy-first, adhering to industry-standard security practices. The technology is deployed on over 200 million devices, has transcribed more than 80 million calls, and processes over 80 billion minutes of voice conversations each month.
