Klarna, a global digital bank and flexible payments provider, has announced a new partnership with Article, a modern furniture brand, to integrate Klarna’s payment options into Article’s online checkout for customers in the U.
S. and Canada.
The collaboration allows Article customers to choose from various payment methods, including paying in full, splitting purchases into four interest-free payments, or financing larger orders over time. This initiative addresses growing consumer demand for flexible payment solutions, particularly for high-value items like furniture. Home essentials represent one of Klarna’s fastest-growing categories in North America, with the average price of an Article sofa around $1,500, underscoring the relevance of such payment flexibility for significant home investments.
Steven Clarke, Head of Klarna Canada, stated that furniture purchases are highly considered online, making flexibility crucial. He added that the partnership with Article allows Klarna to meet consumers at a key moment of investment in their homes, further expanding Klarna’s presence in the furniture sector.
Olivia Buhren, Director of Sales and Service at Article, commented that the brand’s objective has always been to simplify the process of shopping for modern furniture. She noted that partnering with Klarna provides customers with clear, flexible payment options, empowering them to furnish their homes confidently.
