Kinective, a provider of banking operations platforms, has acquired Compuflex Corporation, a specialist in cash automation solutions for financial, retail, and gaming sectors. This strategic move aims to enhance Kinective’s existing partnerships with cash device manufacturers and core banking providers, strengthening its market position in cash automation and device management solutions.

The acquisition integrates Compuflex’s universal cash handling integration expertise into Kinective’s platform. Compuflex brings over 40 years of experience and established relationships with major financial institutions and a network of software and hardware partners, which will now join Kinective’s client base of more than 4,000 financial institutions. Compuflex’s solutions are currently deployed to support thousands of cash devices both nationally and internationally.

Stephen Baker, CEO of Kinective, commented on the acquisition, stating, “Compuflex brings deep market knowledge, proven technology, and top talent to our cash automation business. They’ve built strong relationships with financial institutions and technology partners that complement Kinective’s existing business well. This acquisition gives us more capacity and expertise to serve banks and credit unions that need reliable, modern cash automation solutions.”

James Clements, CEO and founder of Compuflex, expressed his perspective on the transition, saying, “Having led Compuflex for many years, I believe Kinective offers the right strategic and cultural fit for the company’s next chapter. Their strong operational platform, coupled with a genuine commitment to employee and customer experience, makes this the right decision for our clients and our team. I’m confident the future is bright for Compuflex under Kinective’s stewardship.”

The combined organization will operate from Kinective’s headquarters in Gilbert, Arizona, with additional offices located in Rahway, New Jersey; Denver, Colorado; Chesterland, Ohio; and Noida, India. Compuflex, an independent, privately-owned provider of cash handling solutions, was established over 40 years ago and is based in Springfield, New Jersey.

This acquisition follows Kinective’s recent strategic expansions, including the acquisition of ESQ Data Solutions for ATM and self-service device management, Epic River for document workflow capabilities, Datava for data intelligence, and Janusea for secure digital connectivity. These moves are part of Kinective’s broader strategy to create a comprehensive technology platform for banking operations that aims to modernize experiences, connect technology, and activate data across various banking functions.
