iProov’s Dynamic Liveness technology has achieved an Ingenium Level 4 evaluation and the CEN/TS 18099 High technical specification for Injection Attack Detection, following an independent assessment by Ingenium Biometric Laboratories.
Ingenium Level 4 expands on CEN/TS 18099 requirements, offering an elevated level of assurance through extended active testing and the inclusion of intricate, highly-weighted attack scenarios. This standard helps organizations evaluate biometric solutions against accredited benchmarks rather than relying on proprietary frameworks that lack consistency and comparability.
Andrew Bud, founder and CEO of iProov, stated, “In the age of deepfakes, biometric security must be proven, not promised.” He added that CEN/TS 18099 is the first true benchmark for injection attack detection, a requirement now integrated into NIST 800-63-4. Bud further noted, “Achieving Ingenium Level 4 through accredited testing sets iProov apart as the highest-assurance facial biometric provider independently validated today.”
During 40 days of intensive evaluation by Ingenium, iProov successfully blocked all attempts to establish a successful Injection Attack Method. This level of protection was maintained while achieving a Bona Fide Presentation Classification Error Rate (BPCER) of 1.3%, indicating that robust security can be delivered without compromising usability.
CEN Level High establishes a significant benchmark for injection attack detection within the CEN/TS 18099 framework, providing a clear and accredited reference for organizations assessing biometric providers. This achievement demonstrates iProov’s delivery of a highly secure solution, independently validated against one of the market’s most demanding standards-based evaluations.
Ingenium’s Level 4 Injection Attack Detection evaluation positions iProov among leading solutions for organizations seeking to align with the latest NIST 800-63-4 Digital Identity Guidelines and those requiring phishing-resistant, digital injection-aware security. Additionally, by combining these results with FIDO Face Verification Certification, iProov offers an independently established audit trail for stringent regulatory environments, including the UK National Cyber Plan and the EU’s EUDI Wallet frameworks. The solution also conforms to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 Level AA, including Section 508, ensuring an inclusive user experience.
iProov specializes in science-based biometric solutions that facilitate secure remote onboarding and authentication for digital and physical access. The company’s liveness technology and iSOC are designed to offer resilience against deepfakes and generative AI threats while supporting scalable user experiences. iProov is utilized by government entities and enterprises globally, including the U.
