Intuit Inc. (Nasdaq: INTU), a global financial technology platform, has announced the launch of Intuit Accountant Suite, an AI-native platform designed to empower accounting firms to scale operations, manage clients, and streamline team workflows through a unified interface.
The Intuit Accountant Suite is built on Intuit’s existing platform and leverages its new Intuit Intelligence, a system that integrates embedded AI agents and connected data. This technology is intended to provide accountants with insights and recommendations that can help grow their businesses and deliver enhanced advisory services to their clients. Simon Williams, vice president of accountant partnerships and engagement at Intuit, stated that the suite aims to give firms the tools to manage clients and teams more effectively, thereby freeing up time for higher-value advisory work and business scaling. The platform was introduced during Intuit Connect, the company’s annual event for multi-service accounting firms.
Accounting firms often contend with disparate tools, disconnected systems, and extensive compliance tasks, which can hinder their capacity to offer advanced advisory services and scale efficiently. The Intuit Accountant Suite seeks to mitigate these challenges by centralizing operations. With Intuit Intelligence and its integrated AI agents, accountants can access automated experiences, insights, and recommendations to facilitate confident and swift decision-making for their clients, firms, and teams. The platform provides immediate answers to business queries—from client profitability to staff utilization—and automates tasks such as running payroll and generating reports and dashboards, leveraging secure access to Intuit and client data, as well as third-party systems. Firms can also utilize Intuit’s experts as an extension of their virtual teams when additional capacity is required.
The Intuit Accountant Suite integrates five core capabilities: client management, client collaboration, service delivery, business planning, and team management. Key features include Consolidated Client Management for a unified view of all client files with a single sign-in, and Custom Dashboards that allow team members to prioritize critical tasks, reminders, and AI-powered insights. Role-Based Access Controls enable the delegation of tasks with customizable permissions, supporting compliance and efficient management of various services. Unique Client Identification assigns firm-specific numbers for streamlined tracking and billing, while Optimized Performance ensures responsiveness for any client volume. Beta features like Books Close at Scale standardize review processes with customizable templates and progress tracking, and AI-powered Client Insights offer firm-wide analytics and benchmarking.
Dan Luthi, partner at Ignite Spot, commented on the platform’s potential, noting, “One of the hardest parts of running a firm is staying connected to the pulse of the business beyond day-to-day client work. The foundation being built with Intuit Accountant Suite has the potential to reshape how we visualize and respond to what’s happening in our practice. The promise of fast, intuitive insights could truly be a game-changer.”
Intuit plans to introduce further AI-powered workflows and insights to the Accountant Suite in the coming months. These additions will include a capacity planning module providing data insights into staff utilization, collaboration tools with document sharing, integrated web-conferencing, meeting scheduling, and AI note-taking. Upcoming features also involve AI-powered analysis and anomaly detection to monitor client portfolios and identify trends in payroll, accounts payable, and bill pay data, alongside seamless Books to Tax Integration with Intuit ProConnect Tax. Currently, Intuit Accountant Suite is available at no cost to US-based accounting firms, with plans for future expansion into international markets and subsequent pricing based on functionality and market conditions.
