Intapp, a provider of governed AI platforms for professional firms in highly regulated industries, announced a collaboration with Anthropic to integrate its Claude AI models, aiming to accelerate the adoption of specialized agentic AI across accounting, consulting, investment banking, legal, and private capital sectors.

Intapp will develop industry-specific agents designed to be interoperable with and powered by Claude, allowing professional firms to combine their existing Intapp and Claude ecosystems. These specialized agents will enhance Claude by incorporating industry-specific workflows, best practice playbooks, and robust information governance, addressing the unique operational and regulatory requirements of these firms.

The collaboration intends to bring Claude’s advanced capabilities directly into the Intapp ecosystem, ensuring that AI-driven insights comply with stringent regulatory and compliance standards. By combining Anthropic’s foundational reasoning with Intapp’s industry intelligence, the specialized agents are designed to manage complex requirements such as ethical walls, conflicts of interest, independence rules, and the handling of material, non-public information, which are critical for firms operating in highly regulated environments.

Thad Jampol, Chief Product Officer at Intapp, stated that for professional firms, transitioning from frontier capabilities to applied AI necessitates more than just a powerful model. He emphasized the need for a system that understands the firm’s data, relationships, work patterns, and the regulatory pressures they encounter, expressing enthusiasm about working with Anthropic to bridge this gap and ensure frontier AI is ready for highly regulated industries.

Eleanor Dorfman, Head of Industries at Anthropic, noted that Claude’s utility in regulated industries stems from its ability to meticulously reason through complex, high-stakes tasks, moving beyond mere summarization or search to deeply analyze nuanced rules and multi-step problems. She added that Intapp provides the specialized industry context and client-specific needs, leveraging Claude to meet the demanding standards required by clients, investors, and regulators.

Intapp, publicly traded on NASDAQ under the ticker INTA, focuses on vertically tailored agentic solutions built for the specialized workflows, complex relationship networks, and professional compliance requirements of various professional firms. The company aims to help partners, dealmakers, and advisors drive firm growth, manage compliance, and improve profitability by applying Firm AI to core processes and data.
