Immersive, a company specializing in cyber resilience solutions, has appointed Aniket Menon as Chief Product Officer (CPO) and Thanos Karpouzis as Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to its executive team, aiming to enhance the innovation of its unified cyber readiness platform, Immersive One.
These strategic appointments are intended to support the company’s mission to equip organizations against cyber threats using its AI-powered, evidence-based Prove, Improve, Benchmark, and Report (PIBR) methodology. Both new c-suite leaders bring significant experience that aligns with Immersive’s focus on advancing enterprise cyber resilience.
Aniket Menon joins Immersive with over 15 years of experience in cybersecurity product leadership, particularly at the intersection of security, technology, and infrastructure. Prior to this role, Menon served as VP of Product at Rapid7, where he was responsible for unifying the company’s security operations platform and launching products across exposure management, detection and response, and cloud security, leading to documented improvements in enterprise security programs.
Thanos Karpouzis, who was previously Immersive’s Vice President of Engineering, has been promoted to CTO. He possesses more than 15 years of experience in the software industry, marked by a history of innovation and delivering products designed to address specific customer requirements. Before his tenure at Immersive, Karpouzis held the position of CTO at CoachHub, where he introduced Aimy™, noted as the first commercial AI Leadership Coach, and expanded the company’s personalized coaching capabilities. Earlier in his career, he was an engineering lead for Babbel, contributing to its learner apps becoming a top-grossing language-learning application globally.
Mark Schmitz, CEO of Immersive, commented on the appointments, stating, “Aniket and Thanos are visionary leaders who bring the expertise we need to accelerate Immersive One’s technology and platform, ensuring organizations are prepared for whatever threats may arise. Their leadership will be pivotal as we scale our capabilities and expand our product portfolio to deliver solutions that help customers transform cybersecurity from a reactive necessity into a proactive, data-driven business function, equipping teams at every level to measure, improve, and prove their readiness.”
With these executive additions, Immersive plans to accelerate innovation within Immersive One, focusing on role-specific training, simulations, ranges, and cyber drills. This approach aims to help organizations protect their businesses, demonstrate resilience to stakeholders, and adapt more rapidly to evolving cyber threats.
The Immersive One platform is designed as a unified system for organizations to Prove, Improve, Benchmark, and Report their cyber resilience. It enables cyber leaders to verify the preparedness of technical teams, business leadership, and the wider workforce for cyber incidents through upskilling and exercises. These activities benchmark readiness and assist with regulatory compliance. The data and insights generated from these exercises then inform targeted programs to improve individual skill levels, based on individual performance data. Utilizing Adaptive Intelligence Programs, aligned with frameworks such as MITRE ATT&CK, the platform provides reports that substantiate cyber resilience, thereby establishing people-readiness as a continuous, evidence-based practice.
Immersive specializes in people-centric cyber resilience, providing solutions that enable organizations to continuously prove and improve their ability to prevent and respond to cyber threats. The company’s approach is tailored to individual roles, ensuring preparedness for an evolving threat landscape, including challenges related to AI. Immersive serves clients such as Citi, Pfizer, Humana, HSBC, the UK Ministry of Defence, and the UK National Health Service, and is backed by investors including Goldman Sachs Asset Management, Summit Partners, Insight Partners, Citi Ventures, Ten Eleven Ventures, and Menlo Ventures.
