I Squared Capital Introduces ISQ OpenInfra to Expand Institutional Infrastructure Investment Access for Private Wealth.

Miami-based I Squared Capital, a global infrastructure investment manager, has launched ISQ OpenInfra, a new platform designed to offer institutional-quality infrastructure investments to the private wealth market.

Gautam Bhandari, Co-Founder, Managing Partner, and Global Chief Investment Officer at I Squared Capital, stated that infrastructure has evolved from a niche allocation to a core component of resilient investment portfolios. He noted that I Squared has built a $50 billion platform with the scale and discipline expected by large institutional investors, and ISQ OpenInfra reflects the firm’s commitment to provide these opportunities to a broader investor base.

To support this initiative, I Squared Capital has expanded its distribution capabilities by adding a dedicated team of private wealth professionals. According to an estimate by McKinsey & Company, approximately $106 trillion in investment will be required through 2040 to meet global needs for new and updated infrastructure. Yves Meyer-Bülow, Chief Investment Officer for the ISQ OpenInfra Fund, explained that enabling private wealth channels to access infrastructure will facilitate additional capital investment in key areas such as the energy transition, digital connectivity initiatives, and AI projects.
