GFT Technologies SE has agreed to acquire Megawork Consultoria e Sistemas Ltda., a prominent Brazilian SAP consultancy, in a strategic move designed to integrate GFT formally into the SAP ecosystem and enhance its high-value service offerings, particularly in cloud enterprise resource planning (ERP) transformations.
The acquisition aligns with GFT’s five-year strategy, focusing on growth in high-value added services, increased profitability, and deeper engagement with major Independent Software Vendors (ISVs). Through this acquisition, GFT aims to provide a comprehensive SAP portfolio, encompassing implementation, upgrades, migrations, and ongoing support. The offering will be bolstered by GFT’s proprietary GenAI product, Wynxx, intended to accelerate and streamline SAP transformations and embed next-generation AI capabilities for clients navigating the evolving SAP landscape, especially around SAP Cloud ERP.
Marco Santos, Global CEO of GFT, stated, “This deal reflects our ambition to scale into high-margin, high-value added services with SAP, one of the world’s most recognized ISVs.” He added that the combination of Megawork’s SAP expertise with GFT’s cloud and AI capabilities forms a significant growth engine. Santos highlighted the goal to “massively improve the efficiency of SAP migrations, upgrades and implementation projects by 40 percent or more with our leading GenAI Product Wynxx,” describing it as a natural step to deliver business impact beyond traditional transformation.
Alexandro Carvalho, CEO of Megawork, commented on the development, stating, “For everyone at Megawork and all our clients, this marks an exciting new chapter.” He emphasized that becoming part of GFT provides Megawork’s clients access to a global talent pool, innovation, and a broader set of capabilities for their digital transformation journeys, extending beyond SAP projects. Carvalho noted a strong cultural and strategic fit, anticipating enhanced value delivery to clients.
The transaction involves GFT acquiring 100 percent of Megawork in an all-cash deal, funded entirely from existing capital, from the company’s founders. Megawork’s current leadership team will remain in their roles to ensure continuity during the transition. This acquisition is expected to accelerate GFT’s growth by opening new industry verticals, including manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, public sector, energy, and consumer goods, where SAP solutions are widely adopted. It also solidifies GFT’s position in high-value added services through collaboration with SAP, a partnership with potential for enhanced revenue growth and profitability in a high-margin, globally demanded segment.
A core strategic advantage of the acquisition is the planned integration of Wynxx, GFT’s GenAI product, into Megawork’s SAP services. Wynxx is slated to play a key role in accelerating SAP Cloud ERP migrations and project implementations, aiming to drive automation, reduce complexity, and facilitate faster time-to-value for clients. This move is also intended to reinforce GFT’s leadership in AI and position it as a preferred partner for clients adopting SAP’s AI-powered innovations.
The acquisition also creates cross-selling opportunities. A majority of GFT’s existing global client base already uses SAP, presenting an avenue for expanding services, securing new project wins, and deepening client relationships. Conversely, Megawork’s clients are expected to benefit from GFT’s expertise in cloud transformation, AI, data platforms, and Salesforce. Minimal client overlap between the two companies suggests opportunities for complementary growth.
Megawork’s team comprises approximately 350 professionals specializing in SAP consulting, support, and implementation. In 2024, the company reported revenues of approximately €14 million and an EBITDA margin of 21 percent. The transaction’s closing is anticipated by the fourth quarter of 2025, pending approval by the national antitrust authority in Brazil.
