Paycom Software, Inc. (NYSE: PAYC), a provider of cloud-based human capital management software, has released findings from a commissioned study by Forrester Consulting, which projects that its IWant™ command-driven AI engine could deliver a three-year return on investment (ROI) of up to 431% for a representative composite organization of its clients.
IWant, recognized as a Top HR Product of 2025 by HR Executive, is designed to provide an intuitive way for leaders, HR professionals, and employees to instantly access accurate workforce information. Operating from Paycom’s single database, the AI engine aims to streamline workflows and minimize software navigation.

The study, which drew on interviews across multiple industries, identified several significant outcomes. Beyond the projected ROI of up to 431%, it also indicated potential annual savings of up to 600 manager hours, 60 executive leadership hours, and a total of 3,600 employee hours.
Forrester’s findings further supported IWant’s impact by highlighting meaningful improvements for the entire workforce, including streamlined processes and clearer access to insights. An HR director in the entertainment industry noted, “IWant makes it easier for [HR] to find exactly what we’re looking for. … and IWant empowers employees to access information themselves, making HR communications with them much easier.”
The study also identified quantifiable benefits for the composite company, such as increased manager productivity, enhanced executive insight, and overall workforce time savings. A technology CEO interviewed for the study, though not a typical superuser, emphasized IWant’s value, stating, “IWant provides immediate application enablement. I get immediate value. Without any training or knowledge of Paycom, I can go in and immediately understand more about my employees and what their company journey looks like.” The CEO added, “it’s not just about how much time IWant is saving managers.
