FIS, a global leader in financial technology, has reengineered its Private Capital Suite into a cloud-native software-as-a-service (SaaS) solution and integrated its newly launched Investor Services Suite, creating a comprehensive front-to-back offering for private equity firms.

This reengineered suite addresses key challenges within private equity by automating manual processes, harmonizing data flows, and supporting secure, real-time insights. The objective is to enable private equity firms to provide an enhanced investor experience and optimize the performance of their investments. Operating as a flexible and scalable cloud-native SaaS offering, the Private Capital Suite assists private equity managers with complex fund processing, aiming to improve efficiency, compliance, and transparency. It also enhances anti-money laundering (AML), know your customer (KYC), and investor onboarding functionalities, offering multijurisdictional compliance capabilities for intricate private equity strategies.

Matt Stauffer, head of Back Office Solutions at FIS, noted, “According to FIS’ recent Harmony Gap research, less than half of private equity firms (45%) feel confident and prepared when investing in their fintech strategies.” He added that the expansion of private equity has led to greater complexities, including more elaborate fund structures, multijurisdictional compliance needs, and increased investor expectations for transparency and digital access. Stauffer stated that the reengineered Private Capital Suite is designed to help clients adapt and succeed in this evolving environment, demonstrating how FIS leverages innovation and market expertise to deliver financial technology solutions.

Through the integration of the Investor Services Suite, the Private Capital Suite now covers the entire private equity lifecycle. This includes investor onboarding, new portfolio monitoring, portfolio analytics, fund and partnership accounting, reporting, and front-to-back data management. The solution’s multijurisdictional compliance capabilities are intended to support modern private equity firms and asset managers, which are increasingly diversifying across assets and geographies in pursuit of investment returns. This launch follows other recent announcements from FIS, such as the Optimized Reconciliation Service and Neural Treasury, aligning with the company’s efforts to modernize capital markets.
