Dynamo Software has announced the release of Dynamo v3.0, a significant update to its end-to-end alternative investment platform, designed to enhance operational efficiency for General Partner (GP) and Limited Partner (LP) users through AI-driven automation, configurable workflows, and advanced investment management tools. This update aims to enable investment firms to scale operations efficiently.

Dynamo v3.0 addresses key challenges within alternative investment firms, including data fragmentation, workflow inefficiencies, increasing regulatory demands, and cybersecurity threats. The need for such advancements is highlighted in Dynamo’s 2025 LP Research Report, which indicated that only 37% of firms were highly satisfied with GP statement collection and financial data extraction processes. LPs also identified data automation as a primary technology priority for the coming 12 months. Concurrently, Dynamo’s 2025 GP Report revealed that data security and privacy are top technology priorities for fund managers.

Scott MacDonald, Podcaster and Industry Expert at Capital Allocators, stated, “With Dynamo v3.0, alternative investment firms can advance their data capabilities from managing to transforming into insights that give a real strategic edge.” MacDonald added that the platform’s advanced analytics, automated reporting, and secure investor portals provide the transparency and insights required by today’s GPs and LPs. He emphasized that by centralizing workflows and embedding intelligence across the investment lifecycle, Dynamo v3.0 assists firms in navigating market complexities, mitigating risk, and driving sustainable performance.

The platform unifies deal sourcing, research management, investor communications, and portfolio monitoring and management into a single user interface. This integration is designed to empower both GP and LP teams to make faster, more informed decisions. Key capabilities introduced include AI-enhanced workflows, a next-generation interface with configurable layouts, and cloud-native scalability to support growth across new asset classes and geographies.

Frank Vitiello, Investment Operations Director at Boston University, commented, “As a long-time Dynamo client, we’re looking forward to seeing how our feedback continues to shape the platform’s evolution.” Vitiello noted that v3.0’s AI capabilities and streamlined workflows have the potential to transform his team’s operations, anticipating that these innovations will enable greater precision and efficiency in managing complex investments.

Among the new features in v3.0 is the AI-powered Document Hub, which centralizes all investment documents and automates data extraction, tagging, and summarization to reduce manual effort. This capability is particularly important for LPs, who prioritized automating manual processes in the LP Research Report. Furthermore, Dynamo’s 2025 GP Research Report indicated a transformative trend in private markets: the growing influence of AI in investment management. The survey, exploring how GPs anticipate AI will shape their firms, found that 87% of respondents expect AI to either revolutionize investment management or play a critical supportive role in decision-making over the next three to five years.

Additionally, v3.0 introduces HoldingsInsight capabilities, a service designed for LP investment firms to collect and enrich holdings data. This data is then seamlessly integrated into the Dynamo platform for advanced exposure reporting and performance analysis. These innovations are built on a security-first architecture, adhering to global standards such as SOC, NIST, and ISO/IEC.

Hank Boughner, CEO of Dynamo Software, stated, ”Dynamo v3.0 harnesses the best elements of advanced technology to help alternative investment firms make a bold leap forward in their investment processes.” Boughner concluded that by combining automation, configuration, and advanced AI capabilities within a unified platform, Dynamo provides clients with tools to scale efficiently, address market challenges, and maintain a competitive edge.

Dynamo Software has received several accolades, including Acquisition International’s Worldwide Finance Award for “Best End-to-End Alternatives Management Platform 2025,” Data Management Insight’s Award for “Best Fund Accounting, Portfolio Management & Data Platform,” a “Company of the Year” honor from the 2025 Stevie Awards, the 2025 With Intelligence Fund Intelligence Operations & Services Award for “Best Portfolio Management Software,” and the WealthBriefing WealthTech awards for “Best CRM Provider.”
