Deepwatch, a provider of managed detection and response (MDR) services, has launched its Global Capability Center (GCC) in Bangalore, India. This strategic expansion into Bangalore, recognized as a competitive hub for software engineering, aims to accelerate platform development and deliver advanced cybersecurity solutions to customers worldwide. The new GCC will focus on evolving Deepwatch’s AI-driven threat detection platform while ensuring the continuity of its personalized service delivery, enabling round-the-clock development cycles across different time zones for faster product enhancements.
John DiLullo, Chief Executive Officer at Deepwatch, stated that this expansion represents a fundamental shift in the company’s approach to innovation, creating a global development engine designed to keep customers ahead of evolving threats. He highlighted India’s talent in cybersecurity, AI, and enterprise platforms as key to scaling innovation while maintaining service precision and responsiveness.
The new facility provides access to India’s specialized engineering talent pool, with expertise in cybersecurity, SaaS platforms, and AI development. Deepwatch plans to grow its Bangalore team to over 100 professionals within 18 months, with immediate hiring focused on engineering, AI research, and product development functions. Prasad Channabasappa, Managing Director, India at Deepwatch, noted that the GCC is expected to transform development velocity through continuous innovation cycles, resulting in faster rollouts of new threat detection capabilities, enhanced AI models, and platform improvements for customers.
This expansion coincides with an increasing demand for sophisticated MDR services that leverage customers’ existing technology stacks. The Bangalore GCC will prioritize three key areas: advanced AI development, specifically accelerating Generative AI for threat detection and response automation; platform engineering, to scale infrastructure for global customer growth; and product innovation, to develop new capabilities like threat exposure management for emerging cybersecurity challenges.
The modern Bangalore facility features collaborative workspaces designed to integrate seamlessly with Deepwatch’s existing operations in North America, ensuring consistent service delivery across all geographies. This global expansion positions Deepwatch for further international growth, with the company actively exploring additional opportunities to bring cybersecurity expertise closer to its worldwide customer base. Deepwatch is a leader in precision MDR, utilizing AI and human expertise to reduce business risks, offering tailored and continuous protection with transparency on every detection and decision.
