Counterpart has launched its Allied Healthcare offering, designed to address emerging risks for healthcare providers adapting to new technologies and care models. This product expands Counterpart’s existing Management Liability and Miscellaneous Professional Liability portfolio.

The new offering provides specialized professional liability coverage for underserved health providers, including Imaging and Diagnostic Centers, home healthcare, and medspas. It is specifically tailored to protect outpatient services and remote care models, covering areas such as AI-assisted diagnostics, fitness applications, and virtual platforms. The Allied Healthcare product was developed in collaboration with wholesale brokers and is backed by A Rated paper, aiming to mitigate liability gaps in the wellness industry, including bodily injury, diagnostic error, and technology-driven negligence.

Tom Levin, Senior Vice President, Healthcare Broker at CRC Group, commented on the new offering, stating, “We’ve seen firsthand how gaps in traditional liability policies are leaving healthcare clients exposed as they adopt new technologies. Counterpart’s Allied Healthcare product can fill that void: smart underwriting, clear terms, and support that matches the pace brokers need.”

Despite the global wellness sector’s $2 trillion valuation presenting significant market opportunities, traditional insurers have struggled to adapt their coverage models to its growth. The surge in telehealth from 14% in 2018 to 66% in 2022 highlights a gap in insurance safeguards for entrepreneurs in this evolving landscape. Reports indicate an adverse reaction can result in legal costs of up to $72,000, underscoring the demand for modern coverage that supports providers as patient care evolves.

Chris Robowski has been appointed as Counterpart’s Director of Allied Healthcare, leading this expansion. Robowski brings over 15 years of experience in allied healthcare programs, having previously served as Senior Vice President of Allied Healthcare Services at Berkshire Hathaway. Robowski remarked, “Counterpart is building the kind of insurance platform the industry needs: modern coverage supported by technology that helps brokers and businesses manage risk more efficiently. The dedication to driving better outcomes for our customers drew me to the Counterpart team. The Allied Healthcare product reflects that commitment and gives insureds and brokers a solution designed for the realities of today’s healthcare environment.”

Counterpart’s Agentic Insurance™ platform extends its Professional and Management Liability market to small businesses through a network of over 2,000 brokers, having placed more than 20,000 policies. The platform enables brokers to receive quotes within minutes and utilize Counterpart’s Digital Risk Score for precise underwriting. Insureds benefit from 24/7 digital claims service and real-time risk insights. The Agentic Risk Mitigation™ platform integrates AI-powered insights with real-time expert support, assisting Allied Healthcare providers in identifying exposures, avoiding claims, and enhancing resilience. This approach aims to deliver faster, data-driven protection for a healthcare sector that is increasingly distributed, technology-driven, and sensitive to risk. Counterpart is backed by A rated carriers including Aspen, Markel, and Westfield Specialty.
