CoinFlip, a U.

S.-based global digital currency platform company, has appointed Jed Roffers as its inaugural law enforcement relations director. In this new capacity, Roffers will act as the organization’s primary contact, tasked with deepening collaboration and enhancing relationships with law enforcement agencies globally.

CoinFlip CEO Ben Weiss stated that the company maintains high compliance standards and has built relationships with law enforcement since its 2015 inception. Weiss emphasized the importance of working efficiently and effectively across all levels of law enforcement to protect consumers while enabling them to purchase cryptocurrency.

Roffers is recognized for his expertise in internet-enabled crimes, particularly those involving cryptocurrency. His background includes proficiency in blockchain intelligence, scam typography, and crypto-related legal and compliance regulations. Before joining CoinFlip, Roffers served as a special agent in the Wisconsin Department of Justice’s Division of Criminal Investigation (DCI)’s cybercrimes unit. In this role, he advised on legislative policy concerning virtual currency, provided investigative support for tracing digital assets across various blockchain networks, and developed cryptocurrency-specific training materials for investigators, police chiefs, sheriffs, and prosecutors.

Roffers expressed his enthusiasm for joining CoinFlip, highlighting the company’s role and the broader crypto kiosk industry’s contribution to democratizing access to the digital economy. He noted his intention to build on CoinFlip’s reputation by strengthening partnerships and collaboration with law enforcement across different regions to educate communities and mitigate consumer risk.

CoinFlip operates the world’s largest network of cryptocurrency kiosks by transaction volume, with over 5,500 kiosks worldwide, enabling consumers to buy and sell major cryptocurrencies using cash. The company also offers CoinFlip Preferred, an over-the-counter service for investors requiring personalized support for cryptocurrency transactions. In 2022, CoinFlip launched CoinFlip Ventures, an investment group providing coaching, funding, and networking to early-stage crypto and Web3 projects.
