Blue Dot Investors has officially launched, emerging from stealth to offer secondary and strategic capital solutions for late-stage companies across key fintech verticals, serving early investors, founders, and employees in need of liquidity.

The firm addresses a market need within the fintech sector, which accounted for nearly 20% of venture dollars during the 2021 ZIRP era. While private funding has since cooled, hundreds of mature, profitable fintech companies are now nearing IPOs, strategic exits, or extended private lifespans. This environment has increased demand for liquidity among founders, employees, and early investors, many of whom face fund-life timelines or other structural constraints.

Blue Dot Investors was founded by Sahej Suri, who also serves as the firm’s Managing Partner. Suri’s background includes experience at QED Investors, working with founder Nigel Morris, and previous roles at TPG and J.

P. Morgan. He is joined by Operating Partner Aaron Vermut, whose career includes co-founding Merlin Securities (acquired by Wells Fargo), leading Prosper Marketplace as CEO, and serving as Senior Consultant to the CEO of Robinhood. The team leverages their operational and investment experience to identify and support emerging category-defining companies.

Sahej Suri stated, “We saw a clear gap in the market to provide flexible capital solutions to fintech companies at pivotal stages, especially within the late-stage fintech market, where liquidity is often limited due to the specialist nature of the sector.” He noted that according to Caplight Research, 2026, only 15 companies account for over 70% of all venture secondary market volume, and within fintech, just 10 names represent 95% of that activity. Suri added, “This concentration creates a highly uneven market, and we believe the real opportunity lies in the long tail of high-quality fintech businesses that need liquidity and a strategic partner to scale. Blue Dot exists to serve that gap and help founders capture their full potential.”

Beyond providing liquidity through secondaries, Blue Dot Investors offers its portfolio companies access to an extensive advisor network. This network includes senior leaders from organizations such as Capital One, Robinhood, and McKinsey, and supports companies with growth strategy, IPO preparation, regulatory navigation, and fundraising. The firm invests across major fintech verticals, including banking, credit, payments, capital markets, wealthtech, and insurtech, as well as emerging areas like AI and crypto/blockchain.
