BitGo, a digital asset infrastructure company, has announced a partnership with Deutsche Digital Assets GmbH (DDA), a European crypto asset manager, to offer institutional-grade custody and staking services for the new Safello Bittensor Staked TAO ETP, which commenced trading on the SIX Swiss Exchange. The collaboration aims to provide a regulated and secure pathway for investors to engage with decentralized artificial intelligence.

The Safello Bittensor Staked TAO ETP (ISIN: DE000A4APQY4; WKN: A4APQY, Ticker: STAO) was developed by DDA in conjunction with Safello. The product is designed to offer investors a simple, regulated, and secure method to gain exposure to Bittensor (TAO), a decentralized blockchain-based protocol functioning as a global, tokenized marketplace for machine intelligence.

BitGo Europe GmbH, regulated under BaFin, has been appointed as the digital asset custodian. In this role, the company will hold 100% of the underlying TAO in fully segregated cold storage and manage the associated staking operations. BitGo provides institutional clients with multi-signature wallet technology, comprehensive compliance standards, and secure staking infrastructure, operating under Germany’s regulatory framework and designed for scalability and resilience.

Mike Belshe, CEO and Co-Founder of BitGo, commented on the partnership, stating that it marks a significant step in BitGo’s objective to secure the digital asset economy. He added that by providing regulated custody and staking for innovative assets such as TAO, BitGo is supporting the growth of decentralized AI and enabling institutional investors to safely participate in this emerging sector.

Maximilian Lautenschläger, CEO and Founder of Deutsche Digital Assets, noted that the partnership with BitGo ensures investors in their products benefit from high standards of custody and staking infrastructure. He described the Safello Bittensor Staked TAO ETP as an important development in connecting decentralized AI with traditional financial markets within a regulated, institutional-grade framework.

Founded in 2013, BitGo delivers custody, wallets, staking, trading, financing, and settlement services from regulated cold storage, aiming to accelerate the transition to a digital asset economy. Deutsche Digital Assets, established in 2017, is a German crypto and digital asset manager that offers investment products and solutions, including crypto asset ETPs, to facilitate investor access to crypto assets.
