Apiture, a provider of digital banking solutions and now part of CSI, has launched My Data Exchange™, a new feature designed to give financial institutions the ability to offer account holders increased visibility and control over their data sharing with third parties. This solution enables consumers and businesses to securely locate and link their financial accounts to various third-party applications, including budgeting, lending, and accounting tools, directly within those external experiences.
My Data Exchange simplifies this process through integrations with established data aggregators such as Plaid and Finicity. Account holders gain the ability to view and manage all third-party connections directly within Apiture’s Consumer Banking and Business Banking solutions, ensuring transparency regarding access to their financial information.
The key benefits of My Data Exchange include secure, API-based connectivity, which replaces legacy screen-scraping methods to offer stronger protection and more reliable data access. It also extends a financial institution’s digital presence, aiming to boost engagement by reaching account holders across various online platforms. Furthermore, the feature is intended to enhance trust and loyalty by providing account holders with clear access and control over their financial data, aligning with principles of transparency. My Data Exchange is also designed to be compliance-ready, aligning with the principles of Section 1033 of the Dodd-Frank Act concerning consumer data control and the growing demand for privacy, transparency, and portability.
Chris Cox, EVP and general manager for CSI Digital Engagement Solutions, stated, “My Data Exchange serves as a differentiator for banks and credit unions as consumers and businesses increasingly seek control over their financial data. By facilitating secure, seamless data connectivity, Apiture’s community and regional financial institution clients can strengthen digital engagement and further establish their central role in their account holders’ financial lives.”
