Altruist Introduces Hazel AI Platform to Enhance Financial Advisor Productivity

Share It:

Altruist, a modern custodian transforming how financial advisors serve clients, has launched Hazel, an AI platform designed to streamline advisor productivity by leveraging deep industry knowledge and each firm’s unique data.

Hazel’s core feature, “Ask Hazel Anything,” provides instant answers based on a firm’s recorded conversations, emails, documents, CRM systems, and market or regulatory information. This allows advisors to recall specific client discussions, like past interactions with the Millman family, and prepare for upcoming meetings with tailored follow-up points based on connected financial plan details and prior guidance.

The platform also offers a daily snapshot of meetings, emails, and tasks, drafts client emails in an advisor’s specific tone, and automatically creates tasks after meetings, syncing with leading CRMs such as Salesforce, Wealthbox, and Redtail. Additionally, Hazel prepares advisors for meetings by summarizing past notes, recent account activity, and documents, while also taking real-time notes, recording, transcribing, and summarizing meetings. Client data security is maintained through robust encryption, enterprise-level security, and a strict policy against third-party sharing.

This launch follows Altruist’s acquisition of Thyme, a Y Combinator-backed AI startup known for its approach to preparing, running, and following up on meetings. The integration of Thyme’s meeting intelligence with Altruist’s custodial expertise aims to provide an AI experience specifically tailored for financial advisors.

Jason Wenk, Founder and CEO of Altruist, stated, “Hazel is a game changer for advisors. She’s designed to take on the work that weighs on them most. That includes note-taking, CRM entries, and scheduling, and more complex tasks like email management and in-depth research. By unifying all of these core functions in one platform, she’s making it easier for advisors to do what they got into this business to do in the first place—help people.”

Hazel is currently available as a standalone platform priced at $60 per seat monthly or $600 per seat annually, with a free trial accessible at hazel.ai. Future plans include integrating Hazel with Altruist’s custodial platform, which is expected to provide deeper data insights and enhance advisors’ ability to anticipate client needs. Altruist offers a fully integrated digital platform for independent RIAs, combining a self-clearing brokerage firm with software for account opening, trading, reporting, and billing, enabling advisors to manage investments, create custom portfolios, trade fractional shares, and automate rebalancing.
