AdvisorEngine Portfolio Solutions (AEPS) has launched its turnkey asset management program (TAMP), which will be unified with the existing complete wealth management technology platform from AdvisorEngine®.
The new AEPS TAMP aims to enhance the experience for independent advisory firms by providing greater efficiency and personalization compared to traditional TAMP options. Advisors can manage their practices across various investment approaches and maintain flexibility in overseeing different client segments, determining which clients utilize TAMP services and which do not, all within the AdvisorEngine platform.
AEPS features a continuously expanding model marketplace, offering over 1,500 investment strategies from more than 300 asset management firms. The platform also supports high-net-worth clients with access to alternative investments, advanced unified managed account (UMA) and separately managed account (SMA) capabilities, and direct indexing.
Key features of AEPS include a focus on tax-smart investing and transition management. Automated tax-loss harvesting, customizable transition rules, and lot-level tracking assist RIA firms in thoughtfully onboarding assets and precisely managing portfolios. Performance analytics, rebalancing automation, and due diligence functionalities provide oversight while allowing advisors to retain control over client portfolios.
These services are integrated natively within AdvisorEngine’s wealth management platform, which leverages intelligent automation to enhance firm efficiency. This includes digital onboarding, fee billing tools, automated trading and rebalancing, monitoring for key events with custom alerts, performance reporting, and a white-labeled client portal and mobile app. This unified structure seeks to streamline operations, reduce complexity, and foster a consistent client experience as firms expand.
Rich Cancro, CEO of AdvisorEngine Portfolio Solutions, stated, “Independent advisory firms shouldn’t have to sacrifice the personalization and value that attracted clients in the first place just to gain scale and efficiency. We believe RIAs should get top-level investment capabilities combined with control and customization in how they serve their clients.” Cancro added that the solution represents a “game changer for breakaway advisors looking to build their practices. It is modern architecture that is incredibly powerful, flexible and easy to use, allowing RIAs to grow and scale their business without losing the ability to personalize each client experience.”
Among the investment management capabilities available are a model marketplace offering over 1,500 investment strategies from more than 300 asset managers, flexible portfolio construction that allows advisors to combine various strategies into a single account structure, and custom solutions and support for real-time trading, rebalancing, and drift management.
Trade management capabilities handle the complete trading process, incorporating various tax management strategies to reduce operational burden, increase accuracy, and enhance scalability. The platform also provides reporting features, enabling firms to monitor performance across their business and prepare more effectively for client meetings.
Ned Dane, Chief Investment Officer at AdvisorEngine Portfolio Solutions, commented, “In our TAMP, model sleeves trade automatically and firms can trade accounts through one aggregated process, as well as combine rep-directed sleeves and models in a single client account and use any combination of third-party models. That’s in addition to the ability to process advisory fees, calculate billing and handle payments. This level of functionality just shows how AdvisorEngine has built an increasingly powerful and complete wealth management platform.”
