NEW YORK
AdvisorEngine Inc. has announced a series of enhancements to its wealth management platform, designed to address challenges faced by Registered Investment Advisors (RIAs).

These updates are focused on improving operational efficiency for RIAs, streamlining client service, and supporting growth. The expanded portfolio management suite includes advanced UMA (Unified Managed Account) support, with benefits flowing throughout the platform. Key enhancements include new portfolio construction workflows that allow users to create target portfolios using a combination of third-party and advisor-managed models. UMA support has been strengthened to enable clients to build and manage UMA portfolios with multiple sleeves, facilitating the combination of various strategies into a single account while offering separate sleeve-level trading and reporting.

AdvisorEngine has also enhanced its automated tax management capabilities, including tax-loss harvesting, tax-sensitive transitions, and tax budgets. The platform features an improved proposal and account opening process, now integrating a more sophisticated portfolio construction workflow. Performance reporting has been refined to deliver detailed insights at the household level and across underlying accounts, including individual sleeves. New cash management workflows provide a more intuitive experience for managing client deposits and withdrawals, both recurring and ad-hoc. Within the portfolio management suite, the trade rebalancer has received a refreshed user interface and experience, complete with new notification logic and dashboard visuals to provide a comprehensive control center for advisory firms. Additionally, a new rebalancing and cash management settings ribbon has been added to the client account dashboard, offering direct links and easy access to actions and settings.

“We’ve developed an incredibly powerful, simplified and connected advisor experience with cutting-edge portfolio management tools in a combination that other wealth management platforms will be challenged to match,” said Rich Cancro, CEO of AdvisorEngine. He added, “This is much more than a simple third-party integration; this is data that is infused throughout our ecosystem and technology that is fully embedded into our workflows. We’ve unlocked true flexibility for advisory firms who want to connect automated model trading with advanced tax management and real-time processing.”

Jonathan S. Pincus, CEO of SMArtX Advisory Solutions, commented on the integration: “There’s no swivel chair with AdvisorEngine and SMArtX. Advisory firms get a single portfolio management solution. AdvisorEngine clients experience a beautiful, personalized, and connected practice platform, powered by modern trading, portfolio management, and tax management tools.”

In addition to portfolio management enhancements, AdvisorEngine’s platform now provides expanded access to data and insights, featuring new search and reporting capabilities. Firms can quickly analyze practice and client data with refined search and filtering features, enabling better decision-making. These features offer greater control over critical practice data, allowing firms to navigate analytics, minimize overlap, and reduce unnecessary data movement. Real-time, dynamic data-driven analysis and internal reporting can be easily shared across decision-makers and departments to optimize client service and business outcomes.

Highlights of these new search and reporting capabilities include enhanced data access and ownership for improved decision-making, a self-service reporting solution to eliminate static reports and bottlenecks with real-time insights, an elevated user experience with vast filtering capabilities and report sharing, and easy navigation and sharing of critical practice and client data, including leveraging recent and saved searches.

“Investment advisory firms don’t need to pay for third-party data warehouses,” stated Patrick Arnold, AdvisorEngine’s head of product. “With the AdvisorEngine platform, firms own their data and we give them complete access to it, coupled with powerful analysis capabilities, to better serve their clients and manage their businesses.”
