Ace Hardware, the global hardware cooperative, has announced a new partnership with Affirm to provide customers with a flexible pay-over-time option for in-store purchases at participating U.
S. locations.
The collaboration integrates Affirm’s payment network into Ace Hardware’s checkout process, allowing customers to finance home improvement, lawn, and backyard projects. Purchases starting at $50 are eligible. To use the service, customers scan a QR code at checkout in participating stores and undergo a real-time eligibility check. Approved individuals receive transparent payment options, with Affirm stating no late fees or hidden charges will be applied.
Andy Enright, Senior Vice President of Retail Strategy & Operations at Ace Hardware, commented on the initiative. “Our partnership with Affirm builds on Ace’s Helpful promise, giving customers more flexibility to take on the projects that matter to them – whether it’s refreshing a room, enhancing the backyard, or tackling a to-do list.”
Pat Suh, SVP of Revenue at Affirm, highlighted the relevance of such an offering in the home improvement sector. “From essential daily repairs to bigger home upgrades, Ace is where people go for their home improvement needs—and it’s a category where flexibility at checkout really matters,” Suh stated. “By underwriting each transaction in real time, and never charging late or hidden fees, Affirm ensures Ace customers always know what they’ll pay.”
This new offering aligns with Ace Hardware’s continued focus on providing comprehensive service and solutions to its customer base across its over 5,200 independently owned and operated U.
S. retail stores. Affirm, known for its mission to deliver honest financial products, joins over 375,000 retail partners already leveraging its payment network.
