Accenture Invests in UK Insurtech Rehuman to Advance AI-Powered Customer Engagement in Insurance

Accenture, a global professional services company, has invested in Rehuman, a UK-based insurtech startup focused on enhancing customer engagement in the insurance sector through AI-powered solutions.

The investment, made through Accenture Ventures, aims to enable insurance companies to leverage data and agentic AI for more connected and personalized customer experiences. This is intended to foster deeper engagement with policyholders and establish a long-term competitive advantage in the market. Rehuman’s platform is designed to benefit both insurers and brokers, while also empowering policyholders directly.

For insurance brokers, Rehuman’s AI-powered engagement platform and digital wallet provide intelligent tools to strengthen broker-client relationships and cultivate customer loyalty. Brokers can establish a dynamic new digital engagement channel that delivers automated alerts concerning renewals, potential policy lapses, and tailored insurance recommendations, thereby improving customer engagement and retention rates.

Policyholders can utilize Rehuman’s digital wallet to upload, manage, and securely store various policy types—including auto, health, and life insurance—within a single, centralized location. The platform employs advanced AI capabilities to interpret complex coverage details, identify potential gaps in existing policies, and facilitate comparisons with alternative insurance plans.

Khalid Lahraoui, Accenture’s Insurance industry group lead, commented on the investment, stating, “Insurance companies today need digital tools that don’t just inform, but genuinely empower policyholders. Our investment in Rehuman’s AI-powered wallet goes beyond digital convenience – it transforms how insurers and brokers engage with policyholders, creating more seamless, personalized and meaningful experiences.”

Aaron Sherwood, Founder & CEO of Rehuman, articulated the company’s broader vision: “The Rehuman digital wallet is just the beginning of our bigger vision to empower brokers, managing general agents (MGAS), insurance and bancassurance companies with a real competitive advantage. Powered by a custom AI model, we’re giving them the ability to turn customer engagement into business revenue.”

Accenture’s investment will facilitate Rehuman’s operational scaling and further integration of AI into insurer and broker platforms. Rehuman will also join Accenture Ventures’ Project Spotlight, a vertical accelerator program for data and AI companies, which offers access to Accenture’s specialized domain expertise and its extensive network of enterprise clients. The specific terms of the investment were not disclosed.

Accenture provides a broad range of services, solutions, and assets across strategy, consulting, technology, operations, and industry-specific functions, serving clients in over 120 countries with approximately 779,000 employees. Rehuman positions itself as a customer experience platform utilizing a custom AI model to provide live engagement and retention intelligence, aiming to foster stronger client relationships and loyalty for brokers and insurers.
