Papa Johns has selected PAR POS™ and PAR OPS™ from PAR Technology Corporation to serve as the core of its next-generation U.
S. in-restaurant technology stack, marking a significant step in the company’s multi-year initiative to enhance its restaurant and digital ordering experience for customers, operators, and franchisees.
This partnership represents a strategic move to transition Papa Johns from its existing on-premise systems to PAR’s enterprise solutions. The integrated PAR POS and PAR OPS platforms will unify front-of-house ordering, make-line operations, and above-restaurant management, along with AI-powered capabilities for labor, inventory, and restaurant management, all within a single, scalable, and reliable system.
Kevin Vasconi, Chief Digital and Technology Officer at Papa Johns, stated, “At Papa Johns, one of our strategic priorities is investing in and optimizing our technology to deliver a better experience. A key element of that strategy is reducing complexity, driving efficiency, and accelerating innovation to improve our in-restaurant operations. PAR Technology’s integrated solutions give us the scale, performance, and support infrastructure needed to run our business better and help our restaurant teams deliver every day.” The adoption of PAR’s solutions aims to provide real-time shared data, a consistent interface, and unified support, enabling improved operational discipline and a more consistent customer experience. Papa Johns anticipates that integrating PAR’s enterprise solutions with their standard store technology configuration will also reduce deployment costs.
Savneet Singh, CEO of PAR Technology, commented, “Utilizing PAR’s front- and back-of-house solutions gives Papa Johns real-time insight, operational control, and the foundation required for intelligent automation. Our mission is to simplify operations at scale and empower restaurants to create exceptional guest experiences. We’re ready to support Papa Johns as they scale for the future with PAR.” Key features of the new system include an AI-Native and Future-Ready Architecture, leveraging an intelligent AI layer, open APIs, and flexible middleware for automation, data-driven decision-making, and rapid deployment of new AI capabilities. It also offers Streamlined Menu and Promotion Management for centralized control and faster deployment of limited-time offers, alongside Real-Time Intelligence for enhanced visibility into critical operational metrics.
This technology alliance aligns with Papa Johns’ broader technology transformation strategy, which includes an expanded use of AI and analytics through its existing Google Cloud partnership. The shift to PAR’s platform is intended to fundamentally alter how Papa Johns manages its restaurants and enhances its digital experiences, by connecting data, teams, and workflows through AI-native systems. A full system rollout is scheduled across all U.
S. corporate and franchise locations by the end of 2027.
