Viamericas, a provider of remittance and international money transfer services, has announced its 20th annual fundraising campaign in collaboration with Grupo Financiero G&T Continental (Banco G&T Continental), the third largest financial organization in Guatemala, to support its charitable organization, Viamistad.
The yearly donation campaign aims to raise money for Guatemalans with disabilities, enabling them to attend Viamistad’s educational and recreational camps. Between October 2025 and March 2026, Viamericas and Banco G&T will donate a portion of every Viamericas transaction processed and paid out by Banco G&T.
Now in its 20th year, Viamistad operates summer camps, an inclusive school, and entrepreneurship programs designed to offer Guatemalans with disabilities access to life-changing opportunities. Annually, approximately 90 campers, alongside local volunteers, participate in these programs, fostering friendships and developing essential life skills. Viamistad’s initiatives work to challenge societal barriers, reduce the stigma associated with disabilities, and promote understanding and inclusion within their communities.
Joseph Argilagos, Executive Chairman and Co-Founder of Viamericas and President of Viamistad, commented, “It is humbling to see the Viamistad mission continue to come to life and grow year after year. This campaign is a reminder each year that we are a community and we can always achieve more when we work together. We are so grateful for Banco G&T’s support and look forward to how we can continue creating fun, empowering and inclusive experiences for our campers in Guatemala.”
Oswaldo Sánchez, Director of Remittance Business at Banco G&T Continental, added, “We are proud to continue working with Viamericas and Viamistad to make a difference for individuals with disabilities in our community. There is a significant need for programs like these and we look forward to watching Viamistad continue making a difference in the lives of Guatemalans.”
