Veridas, a global provider of identity and cybersecurity technology, has expanded its operations in South America by becoming the primary provider of identity verification and anti-fraud services for Q2 Ingressos, a significant ticketing and event-technology firm in Brazil.
Q2 Ingressos, which manages ticket sales, access control, and cashless payments for various live events across Brazil, will integrate Veridas’ technology to verify the identity of each ticket buyer online. This integration aims to mitigate ticket fraud and illicit resale activities while simultaneously enhancing the purchasing process for customers. The collaboration introduces Veridas’ digital identity platform to Brazil’s growing entertainment sector, enabling Q2 Ingressos customers to securely register, confirm their identity, and purchase tickets from any device, thereby reducing fraud risks for both fans and event organizers.
Veridas currently supports identity deployments across Latin America, including facial access solutions at River Plate’s Monumental Stadium in Argentina and for the ANFP in Chile, alongside digital onboarding services for financial institutions such as BBVA and Scotiabank. Anders Hartington, Managing Director for Brazil and the Southern Cone at Veridas, stated, “We’re building on our success in stadium access to move into new sectors like fintech, payments, and entertainment.”
With the addition of Q2 Ingressos to its network, Veridas aims to strengthen its position as an identity technology company in Latin America, supporting the region’s progression toward a future where identity serves as the foundation for secure and seamless digital interactions without passwords or fraud. Gabriel Andrade Borges, CEO of Q2 Ingressos, commented, “Q2 Ingressos is proud to be the first ticketing company in Brazil to offer such advanced technology through our partnership with Veridas. With it, we’ve officially launched Q2 Face, our new facial validation solution for event access. We debuted it on November 10 at XCBPE, Brazil’s largest event producers’ gathering organized by ABRAPE, and it was a success. More than 4,500 facial validations in two days, delivering faster, safer, and more efficient entry for all attendees.” Eduardo Azanza, CEO of Veridas, added, “With major clients already trusting Veridas across the region, we’re not starting from scratch; we’re building on momentum.”
