Sound Point Capital Management, a global alternative credit manager overseeing over $45 billion in assets, has partnered with CAIS, an alternative investment platform for financial advisors, to enhance access to Sound Point’s institutional private credit strategies within the wealth management sector.

Stephen Ketchum, Founder and Managing Partner of Sound Point Capital, stated, “We’re excited to bring Sound Point’s longstanding expertise in private credit to a broader audience of financial advisors and their clients.” He added that the partnership marks an important step in broadening the firm’s reach and supporting advisors in integrating private credit into client portfolios.

Through this collaboration, Sound Point will join the CAIS platform, which connects more than 2,000 wealth management firms and over 62,000 financial advisors to a curated selection of alternative investment solutions.

The partnership coincides with increasing demand among financial advisors for private credit. A recent CAIS-Mercer survey indicated that 89% of advisors are currently allocated to private debt, and 91% plan to increase their allocations to alternatives over the next two years.

Brad Walker, President of CAIS, welcomed Sound Point to the platform. He noted that as private credit becomes a growing focus for the wealth management community, this partnership represents a step toward bridging the gap between managers and financial advisors, aligning with CAIS’s mission to expand access, enhance education, and drive greater choice across the alternatives landscape.

This development also highlights the ongoing efforts of Sound Point’s Private Wealth team, led by Merrill Martin, to strategically grow the firm’s reach and provide sophisticated credit strategies to a wider investor base.
