N-able, a global software company specializing in cyber resilience, has launched a new Cyber Warranty Program, enabling managed services providers (MSPs) to offer their customers up to $100,000 in financial protection per protected entity in the event of a breach, complementing traditional cyber insurance policies.
The program, delivered in partnership with Cysurance, integrates with N-able’s Adlumin Managed Detection and Response (MDR) Advanced package. This initiative aims to address potential gaps in traditional cyber insurance, supporting faster recovery and ensuring business continuity for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). Cyber warranties are designed to provide rapid financial assistance after an eligible incident, covering essential costs such as forensic investigations, legal counsel, and data restoration.
Kirsten Bay, Co-Founder and CEO at Cysurance, stated that cyber warranties are becoming an essential component of the modern cybersecurity landscape. She added, “For MSPs, they offer a powerful way to strengthen service offerings and build customer trust. More importantly, for their end customers, cyber warranties provide financial protection and assurance, so that when a cyber incident occurs, they’re not facing the fallout alone.”
For MSPs, the Cyber Warranty Program serves as a differentiator, allowing them to embed financial protection, demonstrate confidence in their solutions, and act as proactive risk mitigators. It also aims to accelerate incident response by providing fast reimbursement for breach costs, enabling immediate client action, and reducing the complexity often associated with traditional insurance claims by covering gaps like waiting periods and coinsurance shortfalls.
SMBs benefit from immediate financial relief for breach costs, which facilitates swift response and minimizes operational disruption. The program also promotes strong cyber hygiene by mandating best practices such as multi-factor authentication, regular patching, and consistent backups. Integrated into business agreements, these warranties help ensure business continuity with minimal effort.
Troels Rasmussen, General Manager of Security at N-able, commented on the program, stating, “The warranty reflects the confidence we have in our best-in-class protection. It’s our way of reinforcing the value we deliver; when you have MDR, you’re already covered; the warranty simply underscores the strength of our solution.” He further elaborated that cyber warranties offer a competitive advantage by embedding financial protection directly into cybersecurity offerings. “Our Adlumin MDR Advanced solution empowers businesses to protect their SMB customers with AI-powered threat detection, expert-led analysis, and rapid incident response. Complementing this with a cyber warranty adds a crucial layer of financial protection, covering costs like remediation and legal fees, to help reduce the financial fallout of cyber incidents, which can cause a huge strain for many businesses.”
This new offering positions N-able, headquartered in Burlington, Massachusetts, as one of the few companies in the industry to provide direct financial cyber protection to MSPs and their customers. N-able’s mission is to protect businesses against evolving cyberthreats with an end-to-end cyber resilience platform that manages, secures, and recovers data, leveraging AI-powered capabilities and market-leading third-party integrations.
