Wolters Kluwer has received independent certifications from the Mortgage Industry Standards Maintenance Organization (MISMO) for its eOriginal® eVault, a core component of its eAsset Management Platform, and its eOriginal® ClosingCenter solution. These certifications signify adherence to industry standards for data exchange and business processes within the U.

S. mortgage finance sector.

MISMO, a not-for-profit organization, awards these certifications following a rigorous third-party evaluation. The recognition of Wolters Kluwer’s eVault and digital closing capabilities are among the first issued by MISMO to developers of advanced digital lending technologies.

Simon Moir, Vice President of Banking Compliance Solutions at Wolters Kluwer, commented on the achievement, stating, “These certifications are validation of the deep level of expertise and excellence embodied by our digital lending team over two decades in setting a standard of innovation.” He added that the eVault capability within the eAsset Management Platform, combined with the electronic closing solution, provides lenders “one of the industry’s most trusted digital lending platforms in further simplifying, automating and securing digital transactions—from eAsset creation all the way to optimizing those digital assets in the secondary market.”

Wolters Kluwer’s eOriginal ClosingCenter solution facilitates closings in any format, including in-person or remote eNotary. It integrates with the eOriginal eAsset Management Platform to enable eNote closings, assuring lenders that digital lending assets are created, stored, and assigned in accordance with compliance standards. The platform aims to manage Digital Certainty®, maintaining legal enforceability throughout a digital loan’s lifecycle. The certifications also confirm compliance with MERS (Mortgage Electronic Registration System) standards.

Jonathan Kearns, Vice President of Programs & Operations at MISMO, recognized Wolters Kluwer’s role, stating, “We applaud Wolters Kluwer in being a leader for achieving these certifications for compliance with MISMO standards.” Kearns highlighted that adherence to MISMO standards can simplify systems, minimize costs, and help reduce the risk of errors, providing a layer of trust and assurance to lenders and other users working with certified technology providers.
