London, UK – Alex Marsh, previously the CEO of Klarna UK, has been named the new Group CEO of Salad Group, a London-based social impact fintech. The appointment, effective October 13, 2025, is part of a broader business restructuring effort at the company, which specializes in providing affordable loans to underserved healthcare professionals and public sector employees through open banking technology for credit assessment.

In his new role, Marsh will oversee, align, and scale Salad Group’s core propositions. These include Salad Technologies, the group’s proprietary technology arm, which holds a Community Development Finance Institution (CDFI) license, and Salad Finance, its personal loan business, which operates with a Registered Account Information Service Provider (RAISP) license. Tim Rooney will continue to lead Salad Finance as its CEO.

Marsh’s mandate also extends to scaling Salad Affinity, the group’s new ventures division established in February. His strategic focus will encompass diversifying the lending product portfolio, developing new services aimed at credit-building, and evaluating market expansion opportunities beyond the United Kingdom.

Marsh brings extensive experience to Salad Group, having served as CEO of Klarna UK from 2020 to 2023, following his tenure as Chief Financial Officer there since 2019. He initially joined Salad Group as a non-executive director in November 2023 and has held the position of chairman for Salad Finance since January of the current year.
