Zilch, the London-headquartered consumer payments platform, has announced the launch of Zilch Intelligent Commerce, an AI-driven data intelligence platform for retailers, alongside plans for Zilch Pay, a one-click checkout solution set for release in H1 2026. These developments were unveiled at the company’s inaugural Zilch Summit, celebrating its five-year anniversary as a fintech unicorn in EMEA and the UK.
Since its launch, Zilch has grown to over 5 million registered customers, processing nearly half a billion payments and generating more than £5 billion in Gross Merchandise Value (GMV). The company aims to further its mission of connecting brands and consumers by enhancing retailer capabilities and streamlining consumer payment experiences.
Zilch Intelligent Commerce leverages one of the market’s most comprehensive sets of first-party spend data, stemming from high user engagement. Customers reportedly open the Zilch app over 25 times monthly and use it nearly 60 times annually. This AI-powered platform transforms live engagement data into real-time insights, tracking 100% of the customer sales journey both online and offline across thousands of merchants. It enables retailers to automate targeting of specific customers with personalized offers, intending to improve return on ad spend (ROAS). Research conducted by Zilch indicates that 71% of UK consumers have made a purchase following a personalized advertisement or recommendation.
In its beta phase, Zilch Intelligent Commerce has demonstrated notable results with over 20 brands and retailers. A major grocer observed a 55% increase in average customer spend, while another brand grew its market share in its category by over 15% in 30 days and lifted average order values by nearly 40%. A global travel brand reported that 52% of Zilch-powered orders came from new customers, nearly meeting its annual acquisition targets in six months. Brands using Zilch Intelligent Commerce have reported a 20–50% increase in ROAS, optimized by Zilch’s AI agents.
This platform addresses a persistent industry challenge where critical attribution data is often lost along the customer journey, leading to billions in wasted advertising budgets. Zilch Intelligent Commerce provides full-funnel visibility, enabling brands to predict, identify, and optimize advertising expenditure, a capability deemed increasingly essential in the era of agentic commerce.
Complementing these initiatives, Zilch also announced Zilch Pay, set for launch in H1 2026. This one-click button will integrate Zilch’s app, digital wallet, and card directly at merchant checkouts. The goal is to provide consumers with a more seamless purchasing experience, while simultaneously boosting conversion rates for brands and reducing cart abandonment.
Philip Belamant, CEO and Co-Founder of Zilch, stated, “In just five years, Zilch has transformed how brands and consumers connect – and today marks another major leap forward. With the launch of Zilch Intelligent Commerce and Zilch Pay, we will accelerate our mission by giving retailers and brands full visibility and real-time intelligence to automatically optimise ROAS as campaigns unfold.” He added that the efficiency of Zilch’s AI agents in campaign management makes traditional manual methods seem
