MyVenue, a global provider of point-of-sale (POS) solutions for sports and entertainment venues, has completed the deployment of 490 fixed and handheld POS devices at Rogers Place, the National Hockey League (NHL) arena in Edmonton, Alberta.
The implementation consolidates all food and beverage operations at Rogers Place onto a single platform. This system manages transactions across concessions, club-level areas, luxury suites, and mobile ordering locations. The initiative aims to enhance operational efficiency for the venue, which hosts approximately 170 events and attracts 2.1 million visitors annually.

From concessions to restaurants, suites and real-time inventory control, their streamlined workflow significantly reduces event admin and reconciliation, offering a much faster, reliable, and easier-to-use POS solution that empowers our team to focus on creating exceptional experiences for our fans.” Hordo also highlighted the efficiency of the deployment, noting that the MyVenue team facilitated training and go-live for all 490 devices in six days.
Beyond transaction processing, the MyVenue solution integrates real-time inventory control, performance dashboards, and event reporting. This single-platform approach replaces previous multiple legacy systems, designed to streamline game-day operations and reporting for the large-scale venue.
