Resurgens Technology Partners, a software-focused private equity firm, has completed the sale of its portfolio company Verity to TMX Group, aiming to enhance TMX Group’s offering of global investment-grade data, insights, and investment workflow tools across equities, fixed income, and private assets.
Verity specializes in providing research management software along with enhanced data and analytics to over 300 institutional investors globally. Its solutions are designed to streamline investment research workflows, facilitate portfolio monitoring, and aid in the generation of investment ideas.
Andrew Robson, CEO of Verity, commented on the acquisition, stating, “Joining TMX Group unlocks the next chapter for Verity, its products, and its global customer base. Verity has long been trusted by institutional investors who want to move from insight to action faster and with more confidence. As part of TMX Datalinx, we’re able to better deliver on that mission. I’m excited for our employees, our customers, and for the future ahead.”
Resurgens Technology Partners initially invested in MackeyRMS in 2019. This was followed by a strategic merger with InsiderScore in 2020, at which point the combined entity rebranded as Verity. The new company integrated powerful research management workflows with advanced datasets and insights. During Resurgens’ ownership, Verity expanded into new strategic markets, grew its international customer base, and enhanced its product suite to address evolving investor requirements.
Solomon Partners acted as the exclusive financial advisor for Verity in this transaction, while DLA Piper provided legal counsel.
