LSEG, a global financial markets infrastructure and data provider, and Reuters, an international news organization, have partnered to introduce an AI-driven earnings intelligence solution named “Super Summaries.” This collaboration aims to deliver faster and more reliable insights into company earnings for a broader market.
Branded as “Super Summaries,” the new format combines LSEG’s market data with Reuters’ editorial oversight to provide structured, decision-ready content. The initiative is designed to expand global earnings coverage to an additional 10,000 companies over the next three years. LSEG provides data and analytics, capital markets infrastructure, and financial technology solutions, supporting institutions, governments, and investors worldwide. Reuters is recognized as one of the world’s largest multimedia news providers, known for its accuracy and adherence to its Trust Principles.
Super Summaries are designed to deliver structured insights within minutes of an earnings announcement. Each summary undergoes review by a Reuters journalist to ensure accuracy, relevance, and transparency, including disclosures about the application of AI. Initially, the product will cover listed companies in the US and Canada. The summaries feature sections for speed and clarity, including a headline and overview, forward-looking guidance, result drivers, key metrics in table form, and analyst coverage summarizing ratings and targets. There are plans to expand the service and add further features as demand develops.
The partnership also highlights the role of generative AI in scaling coverage beyond blue-chip firms to encompass small and mid-cap companies. By automating data ingestion and summarization, the offering provides professionals with broader access to timely earnings information without compromising established editorial standards.
Jonathan Leff, Reuters global editor for newsroom AI and financial news strategy, stated, “Super Summaries put AI on the front line of earnings coverage – delivering fast, scalable synthesis backed by Reuters editorial rigour. For LSEG customers, that means trusted information delivered at unparalleled scale, with transparency built in.”
Todd Hartmann, LSEG group head of data & feeds, added, “This is about bringing the strength of LSEG’s trusted data together with Reuters editorial oversight and responsible use of AI. By extending reliable, structured earnings coverage to thousands more public companies, we are helping customers, from asset managers to retail investors, act with greater speed, confidence, and clarity.”
