GreenBitAI, a provider of localized AI technology solutions, has introduced Libra, an AI Agent designed to operate fully offline and locally for professional document generation, offering enterprise-level accuracy without cloud dependency. The company states that Libra is the world’s first lightweight AI Agent of its kind.

Libra focuses on professional-grade document generation, managing entire document workflows with accuracy for high-stakes content. Its fully localized operation allows it to run on standard devices without internet access, which helps ensure data privacy and regulatory compliance. The system also features over 75% model compression, which is designed to reduce costs while maintaining accuracy and user experience.

The AI Agent’s multi-expert mode is built to enable complex document workflows by intelligently coordinating tasks, functioning as an AI-powered team. Typical use cases for Libra span several industries, including financial services for investment reports, risk assessments, and compliance documentation; healthcare for clinical analysis, medical papers, and diagnostic reports; legal services for contract review, legal drafting, and case study analysis; and academic research for papers, data analysis, and literature reviews.

Dr. Haojin Yang, Co-Founder and CEO of GreenBitAI, stated, “We believe that AI is only truly trustworthy when it is fully under the user’s control. Libra addresses privacy and cost challenges while marking the start of the localized AI Agent era — democratizing AI while ensuring trust.”

GreenBitAI aims for Libra’s localized model to offer enterprises a secure, flexible, and cost-effective alternative. This approach is intended to facilitate compliance in sensitive industries and bring advanced AI capabilities to regions with limited connectivity. The Libra AI Agent is scheduled to enter its beta phase on September 26, 2025, providing access to users. A full release is planned to follow, incorporating additional features such as multi-language support, industry-specific templates, and multimodal support. GreenBitAI also intends to build a localized AI ecosystem through open-source and enterprise collaboration.

Founded in 2023 by a team from the Hasso Plattner Institute (HPI) for Computer Systems Engineering in Germany, GreenBitAI specializes in low-bit neural networks and model optimization. The company focuses on enabling powerful AI models to operate efficiently on consumer-grade devices, providing users with secure, flexible, and cost-effective AI solutions.
