TreviPay, a B2B payments platform, has collaborated with Walmart Business to launch an enhanced version of the retailer’s Pay By Invoice program, providing eligible business customers with a line of credit and 30-day net payment terms. The offering is accessible for purchases made online, through the Walmart Business app, or in-store.
The program is powered by TreviPay’s next-generation payments and accounts receivable (A/R) automation technology. A study conducted by Murphy Research for TreviPay, which surveyed 300 global business buyers, indicated that 85% of buyers desire the option to pay on net terms and are more likely to increase their purchases when this payment method is available. TreviPay’s Pay By Invoice solution enables buyers to defer payments, receive detailed invoices for improved recordkeeping and procurement, and manage cash flow more effectively.
Brandon Spear, CEO of TreviPay, noted, “The biggest opportunity in retail now is in B2B. Companies that capture this valuable segment will win with flexible payment options that integrate directly into the buying experience and maintain efficiency and control for the buyer.” He added that “Pay by Invoice helps companies purchase and pay in a convenient, effortless way.”
Pay By Invoice aligns with TreviPay’s strategic vision for Zero Touch A/R in B2B payments, which utilizes AI-enhanced underwriting and smart invoicing to deliver guaranteed Days Sales Outstanding (DSO) and improved conversion rates for merchants. The manual management of accounts receivable can impede business growth, increase errors, and create friction in the purchasing process. By leveraging TreviPay’s payments technology and managed services, businesses can streamline buyer onboarding, invoicing, and collections, offering finance teams greater control, enhanced visibility, and guaranteed cash flow.
The Walmart Business Pay By Invoice program is currently available to a select group of Walmart Business customers, with plans for broader access in the coming months. TreviPay is a fully managed B2B payments platform for global brands, with over four decades of experience powering more than $8 billion in global trade.
