SailPoint, Inc. (Nasdaq: SAIL), a provider of enterprise identity security solutions, has announced the expansion of its online learning platform, Identity University. This enhancement includes new training offerings, an updated user experience, and practical labs designed to address the cybersecurity skills gap and support professional development in the identity security field.
Identity University, initially launched in 2017 and made publicly available in 2023, provides security professionals with role-based training paths, progress tracking, and opportunities to earn certifications and badges. The platform’s evolution underscores SailPoint’s commitment to strengthening the talent market and preparing skilled individuals for roles with its partners and customers.
Among the new features are hands-on labs that offer practical experience in a live-tenant environment. These labs cover essential setup and administration topics, alongside extensibility capabilities for SailPoint Identity Security Cloud. New training offerings target administrators and engineers, helping them stay current with the evolving identity security landscape. Administrators can learn to build access models within Identity Security Cloud and perform troubleshooting, while engineers can configure and extend identity security connectors, with an option to take an advanced-level expert knowledge credential exam.
Meredith Blanchar, Chief Customer Officer at SailPoint, noted the impact of the platform’s growth. She stated, “By expanding our industry-leading learning platform, SailPoint remains committed to providing access to critical training and certification resources. Since we introduced our entry-level Identity Security Leader knowledge credential last year, we’ve quadrupled the number of people who hold a SailPoint certification or credential—and we now expect to train and credential 100,000 new identity security professionals over the next three years. By providing enhanced flexibility for SailPoint customers, partners, and individual learners, we’re ensuring that Identity University learners can access the training resources they need in the way that works best for them.”
The platform’s user experience has been enhanced with an intuitive catalog and improved navigation, simplifying the process for participants to find relevant training paths and certifications. Learners can now share their accomplishments with professional networks directly from Identity University. An updated e-commerce experience facilitates easy purchase of courses, exams, and short-term access training passes using credit cards. Additionally, a new Training Administrator Access feature allows SailPoint partners and customers to manage enterprise training accounts, providing visibility and reporting on team enrollments and progress.

SailPoint will also host Identity University: Skilled Sessions at Navigate Austin on October 2, 2025. This event is designed to offer hands-on labs, live demonstrations, expert-led presentations, and Q&A sessions with SailPoint Certified Engineers for deeper technical expertise and certification preparation.
