Vestible, a technology platform, has launched a regulated model designed to allow college athletic departments to convert future revenues into upfront investment capital. This initiative aims to provide an alternative funding source by enabling fans, donors, and alumni to invest directly in the programs they support.
College athletic departments are currently navigating a widening funding gap due to escalating costs across facilities, Name, Image, and Likeness (NIL) infrastructure, staffing, and recruiting. Traditional financing mechanisms, such as one-time donations, expensive debt, or strategic partnerships with operational stipulations, often prove insufficient for scaling these needs. Vestible’s solution offers a perpetual, transparent structure that allows departments to raise capital while maintaining autonomy. The platform facilitates the issuance of tradable securities backed by revenue-sharing agreements (RSAs), which provide investors with a fixed percentage of the athletic department’s future revenue. Each offering is structured to align long-term incentives between the institution and its community.
Parker Graham, co-founder and CEO of Vestible, stated, “Athletic departments need a new playbook for funding growth. We’ve built a model that’s repeatable, regulated, and rooted in alignment — not dependency.” He added, “There’s no one more invested in a program’s success than the people in the stands. Now, they get to be investors in more than just spirit.”
Vestible initially operated as a platform enabling fans to invest in individual athletes, including NFL linebacker Baron Browning. Following strong investor demand, observation of private equity’s growing involvement in college athletics, and analysis of market trends, the company shifted its focus to assisting athletic departments in directly raising capital on their own terms, with support from their communities.
Yves Batoba, co-founder and COO, commented, “This is capital built for athletic directors. It’s compliant, scalable, and designed to solve real problems — not just make headlines.” Vestible is in the final stages of onboarding its first three NCAA athletic department partners, with launches anticipated for this fall and public announcements to follow in the coming months.
