SS&C Technologies Holdings, Inc. has entered a long-term agreement with Wesleyan Assurance Society to provide life and pensions administration services and establish a new digital-first wealth management platform, building on Wesleyan’s earlier selection of SS&C Hubwise.
The agreement involves SS&C delivering life and pensions administration services to Wesleyan’s members and customers. This follows a competitive tender process earlier this year, where Wesleyan selected SS&C Hubwise as the foundation for WesInvest, the mutual’s new digital-first wealth management platform. The WesInvest platform is designed to expand the range of investment and retirement products available to Wesleyan’s specialist financial advisers and their clients, while also enhancing the user experience.
As part of the new collaboration, Wesleyan will transition its life and pensions administration operations to SS&C, aiming to create a unified ecosystem across investment, retirement, and protection services. Over 200 Wesleyan team members are expected to transfer to SS&C to ensure continuity of service and preserve existing expertise. Additionally, Wesleyan’s policy administration systems, currently provided by Sapiens, will be upgraded and migrated to SS&C’s secure private cloud infrastructure. This migration is intended to streamline operations and facilitate continuous technology upgrades and intelligent automation. SS&C will also implement a single customer service model, covering both new WesInvest customers and existing life and pensions customers.
Mario Mazzocchi, Chief Executive Officer at Wesleyan, stated, “SS&C has been a trusted partner for more than 20 years. This latest collaboration will enable us to best serve our customers’ needs as market demands evolve. SS&C’s intelligent automation technology will help provide our life and pensions clients with an enhanced, digital experience.”
Bill Stone, Chairman and CEO of SS&C Technologies, commented, “Wesleyan represents a significant relationship for SS&C, and we are pleased to have them as a customer. We are excited to welcome Wesleyan’s team and support the digital transformation of their life and pensions operations. We look forward to working together to achieve operational efficiencies and support leading-edge customer experiences.”
Wesleyan, a financial services mutual, was founded in Birmingham in 1841. The Wesleyan Group provides access to its flagship With Profits Fund via the intermediary advice sector and managed £7.6 billion in assets as of December 31, 2024.
