Maple Introduces Borrower Hub to Streamline Institutional Onchain Lending Operations

Share It:

Maple, an institutional asset management platform in Decentralized Finance (DeFi), has launched its Borrower Hub, designed to provide institutional borrowers with an integrated operating layer for accessing onchain capital. This new platform aims to bridge the operational gap between DeFi credit and traditional institutional credit processes by combining Maple’s smart contract credit infrastructure with an institutional-grade user experience.

Historically, institutions engaging with onchain credit faced challenges such as disconnected interfaces, requiring manual position reconciliation across various tools and routing all actions through a single wallet. This often strained treasury and operations teams by forcing them to work within environments not built for institutional workflows.

The Borrower Hub addresses these operational inefficiencies by offering a unified platform where treasury, operations, and finance teams can manage their entire onchain credit function. Key features include multi-entity organization views with real-time visibility across all loans and legal entities, live loan health metrics displaying margin call and liquidation thresholds, and in-portal onchain actions such as accepting loans, making payments, refinancing, and user management.

To enhance accessibility for teams less familiar with native DeFi operations, the Borrower Hub replaces wallet-only access with email authentication and granular user permissions. This approach maintains the audit trail essential for institutional treasury functions while preserving end-to-end security and compliance. Borrowers gain access to real-time data, full transparency, and 24/7 operations and settlement inherent to onchain credit.

Sidney Powell, CEO and co-founder of Maple, stated, “Maple is at the center of how the largest institutions access capital onchain. The Borrower Hub is how they’ll operate – smart contract credit, paired with an institutional experience that gives treasury teams real-time visibility and the controls they need. This is the future of lending, and we are shipping it first.”

Maple, established in 2019, operates as an institutional DeFi lender that supports various entities including digital asset treasuries, public companies, miners, trading firms, and prime brokers. The platform integrates capital markets expertise with DeFi innovation to offer secured lending and structured products. The new Maple Borrower Hub is currently live, with the previous dashboard remaining operational until June 30, 2026.
