CrowdStrike has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Aramco in Saudi Arabia, outlining a proposed collaboration to advance cybersecurity investments and accelerate the country’s AI transformation, aligning with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030.

The collaboration aims to pave the way for CrowdStrike’s long-term cybersecurity investments, supporting a unified, Kingdom-wide security model. This model is designed to protect critical infrastructure and accelerate the country’s AI transformation. It highlights Saudi Arabia’s commitment to secure AI adoption, establishing market-specific standards, and enhancing breach prevention efforts. The MoU also signifies the initial steps towards a shared commitment by both companies for sustained collaboration, innovation, and skills development, in line with Vision 2030.

George Kurtz, CEO and founder of CrowdStrike, stated, “We’re proud to collaborate with Aramco as Saudi Arabia accelerates its secure AI adoption. I’m thrilled to bring the power of the Crowd to the Kingdom, helping to secure the commerce, creativity, and purpose of one of the world’s fastest growing economies.” Ahmad O. Al Khowaiter, Aramco Executive Vice President of Technology & Innovation, added, “Through this relationship, we aim to demonstrate our first-step commitment to supporting the Kingdom’s growth by adopting world-class technologies. These technologies help to advance Saudi Arabia’s ambition to lead in secure, AI-driven economic growth and empower organizations to succeed in the digital age.”

CrowdStrike plans to explore various opportunities with Aramco, including helping to build and operate cybersecurity capabilities at a national scale across Saudi Arabia. This initiative involves exploring the establishment of a regional headquarters in the Kingdom, deploying in-country cloud capabilities, and leveraging the Falcon® platform as a foundation for unified AI-powered protection. This protection would extend across critical infrastructure, operational technology, and Saudi Arabia’s expanding digital economy. The collaboration also encompasses joint innovation efforts, enhanced cyber threat intelligence sharing, and continuous investment in skills and workforce development, all aligned with Vision 2030. Abdul Aziz S. Al Shafi, Aramco Vice President of Cybersecurity & Chief Information Security Officer, commented on the broader impact, stating, “The impact of this collaboration is expected to be felt beyond Aramco’s borders, as we set a new standard for cybersecurity excellence and inspire the emergence of a new generation of cybersecurity leaders.”

CrowdStrike, a global cybersecurity leader, offers a cloud-native platform designed to protect critical areas of enterprise risk, including endpoints, cloud workloads, identity, and data.
